Who you are
You have a minimum of 5 years of experience in database engineering and administration, with a strong focus on cloud technologies. You are comfortable working in rotational shifts and have a solid understanding of database design, planning, and configuration. Your expertise includes hands-on experience with cloud tech tools such as Azure Migrate and GCP Data Migration Service, which you have used to successfully execute workload migrations to the cloud.
You possess proficient skills in SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle, particularly in areas such as installation, configuration, performance tuning, and high availability. You are adept at monitoring and troubleshooting databases, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your background includes experience in database backup and recovery, as well as security management and storage management in cloud environments.
You are a proactive problem solver who can lead and advise on migration and modernization projects. Your ability to analyze compute and workload costs, along with your knowledge of licensing enhancements, makes you a valuable asset to any team. You are also familiar with disaster recovery services and have experience in optimizing database performance.
Desirable
While not mandatory, having database specialty certifications in Azure or GCP will set you apart. Your understanding of cloud basics and your ability to work with various RDBMS platforms will enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
