Who you are
You have extensive experience in revenue accounting, particularly in SaaS and professional services, with a deep understanding of ASC 606 compliance. Your background includes managing teams and ensuring operational consistency across multiple regions, demonstrating your leadership capabilities in a global context. You excel in cross-functional collaboration, working closely with sales, legal, and business finance teams to structure non-standard deals and contract terms. Your analytical skills allow you to interpret complex, multi-element arrangements effectively, ensuring accurate revenue recognition.
You are detail-oriented and possess a strong grasp of US GAAP, particularly in revenue recognition practices. Your ability to establish and maintain Standalone Selling Price (SSP) frameworks showcases your strategic thinking and operational expertise. What you'll do
As the Director of Revenue Accounting, you will lead the global revenue recognition strategy for a diversified portfolio, ensuring compliance with ASC 606. You will manage a global team, fostering operational consistency and strategic alignment across regions. Your role will involve reviewing and interpreting complex revenue arrangements, including SaaS, perpetual licenses, and bundled offerings, to ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition. You will collaborate with IT and system owners to ensure that revenue recognition systems support compliant practices, enhancing the overall efficiency of the revenue recognition process.
You will partner with Sales, Legal, and Business Finance to review and structure non-standard deals, ensuring that all contract terms align with revenue recognition standards. Your leadership will be crucial in driving accurate revenue forecasting and establishing best practices across the organization. You will also be responsible for mentoring your team, helping them grow in their roles while maintaining high standards of performance and compliance.
