What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the monthly close process, ensuring that all revenue is recognized accurately and in compliance with accounting standards. You will develop and implement accounting policies that support the growth of Whatnot, working closely with the Controller to address critical technical matters. Your leadership will be essential in scaling accounting systems and processes to accommodate the rapid growth of the company.

You will partner with Finance leadership to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data, helping to drive strategic decisions. Your role will involve overseeing the accounting team, mentoring staff, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also collaborate with other departments to ensure that financial practices support the overall goals of the organization.
