Devops Engineer • Lead

You have a solid understanding of general DevOps practices, including code deployment processes in multi-environment development and cloud migrations. With a detail-oriented mindset, you have experience managing offshore engineers, tracking progress, and removing blockers using tools like Jira and runbooks. Your expertise in observability best practices enables you to integrate these principles throughout the DevOps lifecycle effectively.

You are well-versed in using advanced performance monitoring tools such as AWS, Dynatrace, and Splunk to swiftly identify and resolve system issues while maintaining service level agreements. Your experience with automation scripts and tools for real-time monitoring and proactive system management is a key asset in your role.

What you'll do

As a Lead DevOps Engineer at Nisum, you will bridge gaps between development, operations, and business units, advocating for observability best practices and training team members. You will develop and maintain automation scripts and tools that enhance real-time monitoring and proactive system management. Your role will involve integrating observability best practices throughout the DevOps lifecycle using AWS, Dynatrace, Splunk, Grafana, CircleCI, and ArgoCD.

You will continuously innovate and improve observability within core applications, ensuring that best practices are followed across the team. Your responsibilities will also include managing application configuration, including application settings and YAML files, as well as overseeing containerization with Docker and container orchestration with EKS. You will utilize your general knowledge of Kubernetes, Istio Service Mesh, and Helm charts to enhance system performance and reliability.
