Who you are
You have a strong background in systems-level software engineering, with experience in real-time operating systems (RTOS) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) systems. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to develop software that meets stringent timing and correctness requirements, ensuring high reliability in mission-critical applications.
You thrive at the intersection of hardware and software, understanding the complexities involved in integrating both domains. Your experience with embedded Linux and deterministic task scheduling equips you to tackle challenges that require precision and speed.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to solve complex engineering problems. Your ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders makes you a valuable team member.
Desirable
Experience with test automation frameworks and tools is a plus, as is familiarity with distributed telemetry and timing synchronization. A background in aerospace, defense, or autonomous systems will help you understand the unique challenges faced by our customers.
What you'll do
As a Software Engineer at Nominal, you will be responsible for architecting and implementing the core software that powers our test automation and simulation platform. You will work on developing real-time systems that handle high-rate telemetry and validate complex autonomy software in real time.
