Your experience with Docker and Kubernetes allows you to manage containerized applications effectively, ensuring smooth deployment and scalability.

You possess strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail — you excel at identifying faults within software stacks and refining fault handling criteria. Your ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineering, product, and data science, enables you to drive projects forward and contribute to the overall success of the team. What you'll do

As a Senior/Staff Software Engineer at Nuro, you will play a crucial role in the Systems Engineering team, focusing on Behavior Fault Architecture and Detection Validation. You will work closely with the software engineering team to identify and address faults within the autonomous software stack, contributing to the design of fault and fail-operational architectures. Your responsibilities will include implementing new test methodologies to support verification and validation processes, as well as contributing to risk quantification efforts.

You will be instrumental in maintaining the autonomy's fault-centric architecture, stress testing the software stack through deterministic and probabilistic techniques. Your work will have both short-term impacts on upcoming deployments and long-term effects on the roadmap for autonomy features. You will engage in defining interface requirements and collaborating with various engineering disciplines to ensure the success of the autonomous driving capabilities.
