You are familiar with various AWS services, including API Gateway, Lambda, and DynamoDB, and you have experience in deploying applications in a serverless architecture. Your knowledge of data storage solutions and messaging systems like SQS and SNS enhances your ability to create robust backend systems.

You are passionate about engineering excellence and have a product-driven mindset — you believe that happy customers lead to successful products. You are committed to continuous learning and adapting to new technologies and methodologies.

Desirable

Experience with frontend technologies such as Vue.js, Angular, or React is a plus, as it allows you to collaborate effectively with frontend teams. Familiarity with data analytics tools and reporting solutions like Redshift can also be beneficial in understanding the broader context of your work.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for building out the Okendo platform, focusing on engineering excellence and product-driven development. You will collaborate with product engineering teams to design, develop, and implement software solutions that align with business goals. Your work will involve problem-solving, testing, and deploying software while ensuring adherence to established coding standards.

You will leverage your expertise in Node.js and AWS to create scalable backend services that support the various products offered by Okendo, including Reviews, Referrals, Quizzes, Loyalty, and Surveys. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency and effectiveness of the platform, helping Shopify brands grow faster and cultivate brand advocacy.

You will also participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of the development process. Your insights will help shape the technical direction of the team, and you will have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
