Job Description

Who you are

You have significant experience in corporate law, particularly in commercial contracts and SaaS agreements — you've successfully advised sales teams and negotiated complex deals with large enterprise clients across various industries. Your background includes working with highly-regulated sectors such as banking, finance, and healthcare, where you understand the nuances of compliance and legal requirements.

You possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail — you can draft and review legal documents with precision, ensuring that all agreements align with company policies and legal standards. Your ability to communicate effectively with both legal and non-legal stakeholders is crucial, as you will be collaborating closely with sales and professional services teams.

You are a lifelong learner who embraces diverse perspectives — you thrive in environments that encourage growth and innovation, and you are eager to contribute your unique experiences to enhance the team's effectiveness. You understand the importance of building trust and rapport with clients and colleagues alike.

What you'll do

In this role, you will take on the primary responsibility of advising Okta's sales and professional services organizations — your expertise will be essential in structuring and negotiating SaaS master subscription agreements and ancillary commercial documents. You will work closely with some of Okta's largest enterprise customers, ensuring that their legal needs are met while also supporting the company's growth objectives.

You will provide day-to-day legal support throughout the sales cycle, addressing any legal questions or concerns that arise — your guidance will help navigate complex negotiations and ensure that all agreements are compliant with applicable laws and regulations. You will also be involved in drafting amendments, NDAs, and statements of work, focusing on large, strategic accounts.

Your role will require you to stay updated on industry trends and legal developments — you will proactively identify potential legal risks and provide solutions to mitigate them. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, finance, and compliance, to ensure that all aspects of the agreements align with business objectives and legal standards.
