Who you are
You are a proactive, business-minded attorney with a strong background in commercial law. With at least 5 years of experience, you have a proven track record of managing high volumes of commercial work independently and with precision. You thrive in collaborative environments and are comfortable working cross-functionally with teams such as Sales, Security, Finance, and Revenue Operations. Your strong business judgment allows you to act with urgency and make decisions that align with the company's goals. You are detail-oriented and possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. You understand the importance of scaling legal infrastructure to support growth and are eager to contribute to a performance-based culture.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be a key driver of OpenGov's success by providing legal support for commercial transactions and contracts. You will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will collaborate closely with internal teams to identify legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Your role will involve advising on legal issues related to product development and deployment, as well as providing guidance on regulatory compliance. You will also play a crucial role in developing and implementing policies and procedures that enhance the efficiency of the legal team.
