You understand the importance of compliance and have worked closely with legal teams to ensure that all operations meet regulatory standards. You are a strategic thinker who can translate complex operational needs into actionable plans that support business growth.

You possess strong leadership skills and have experience managing teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability. You are adept at building relationships across departments, including Finance, Legal, and IT, to ensure that the People Operations function aligns with the broader organizational goals. Your communication skills are exceptional, allowing you to articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.

What you'll do

As the Director of People Operations, you will own the core operational infrastructure that enables OpenAI to scale responsibly. You will lead a team responsible for maintaining data integrity and operational controls across the systems that support our global workforce. Your role will involve ensuring that our people systems and processes are not only compliant but also enhance the employee experience. You will work closely with the People Compliance team to ensure that all operations are audit-ready and meet regulatory requirements.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies that improve operational efficiency and employee engagement. This includes overseeing the onboarding process, ensuring that new hires have a seamless experience as they integrate into the company. You will also manage offboarding processes, ensuring that they are conducted with the same level of care and attention as onboarding.
