What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI, you will own the technical delivery across multiple deployments, guiding projects from the first prototype to stable production. You will work closely with customer engineering teams to understand their needs and ensure successful adoption of the systems you build. Your role will involve scoping work, sequencing delivery, and proactively removing blockers to maintain project momentum.

You will contribute directly to the codebase when necessary, ensuring clarity and progress in the development process. By codifying working patterns into tools and playbooks, you will help streamline future deployments and enhance team efficiency. Your insights and field feedback will play a crucial role in informing Research and Product teams about model performance and areas for improvement.
