You possess proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript, and you are familiar with REST APIs and OpenAI's API. Your experience includes working on full-stack solutions, where you have utilized an experiment-driven, iterative approach to development. You are detail-oriented and capable of preparing comprehensive scopes of work and project plans for both proof-of-concept prototypes and full production deployments.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms and familiarity with agile methodologies would be beneficial. You are open to learning new technologies and approaches that can enhance your contributions to the team and the customers you serve.

What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Software Engineer at OpenAI, you will embed deeply with strategic customers to understand their unique challenges and technical requirements. You will design, architect, and develop full-stack solutions that leverage OpenAI’s APIs, ensuring that the solutions are scalable and effective. Your role will involve hands-on coding, where you will collaborate closely with customers' technical teams, acting as a technical expert and trusted advisor.

You will prepare detailed scopes of work and project plans, guiding customers through the development process from proof-of-concept to full production deployment. Your responsibilities will include gathering customer feedback and working with internal teams to refine and improve the solutions you deliver. You will also participate in cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Solutions Engineering, Solutions Architects, and Customer Success Managers to ensure alignment and success in customer engagements.
