What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at OpenAI, you will lead the technical delivery of multiple deployments from prototype to stable production — your role involves building full-stack systems that meet customer requirements and drive measurable impact. You will work closely with customer engineering and domain teams to ensure that the solutions you develop are aligned with their needs.

You will own the discovery and technical scoping phases of projects, ensuring that all aspects of system design are considered — your ability to make trade-offs between scope, speed, and compliance will be crucial in delivering successful outcomes. You will also be responsible for removing blockers early in the process to maintain momentum.

Your role will involve regular collaboration with various internal teams, including Product, Research, and Security — you will help shape the direction of product development based on insights gained from customer interactions and deployment experiences. You will measure success through production adoption and feedback, continuously iterating on the solutions you provide.
