You are comfortable with coding in Python and have experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. What you'll do

As a Forward Deployed Engineer at Baseten, you will engage directly with customers to architect and deploy AI applications on our platform — your role will involve translating business objectives into technical requirements and ensuring successful implementation. You will take ownership of the customer journey, guiding them from initial exploration through to production deployment, ensuring that the solutions you provide are reliable and meet quality standards.

You will collaborate closely with product teams to align on features and functionalities that enhance the customer experience — your insights will help shape the direction of our platform. Additionally, you will be involved in pre-sales activities, working with potential customers to demonstrate the capabilities of our technology and how it can solve their challenges.

Your responsibilities will also include monitoring application performance and making necessary adjustments to optimize for latency and cost — you will leverage your technical skills to ensure that our services are not only functional but also efficient. You will document your processes and share best practices with the team to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
