OpenAI is hiring a Technical Deployment Lead to define and oversee the delivery of complex systems to customers. You'll work closely with teams to ensure successful deployment and adoption of solutions. This role requires deep technical project management expertise.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in technical project management, with experience in delivering complex systems to customers. You excel at translating business outcomes into technical plans and have a proven track record of managing dependencies and driving projects from inception to completion. Your ability to embed with customers and understand their workflows is key to your success in this role.
You thrive in high-trust, high-autonomy environments and are comfortable making sequencing decisions under pressure. Your focus is on delivering measurable value against customer goals, and you understand the importance of reliability and operating leverage in deployments. You are adept at tracking progress and ensuring that components ship on time, while also leading readiness and change management for adoption.
What you'll do
As a Technical Deployment Lead at OpenAI, you will define how the company delivers complex systems to customers. You will own the end-to-end delivery process, embedding with customer teams to map workflows and success criteria. Your role involves ensuring that components are built, shipped, and adopted effectively, while also sharing insights with Product and Research teams to guide future roadmaps.
You will manage day-to-day execution across Forward Deployed Engineers, Researchers, and Customer Engineers, ensuring that all teams are aligned and working towards common goals. Your success will be measured by the impact of deployments, including adoption rates and the value delivered to customers. You will also be responsible for driving prototypes through MVP and scaling phases, ensuring that all deployments are reliable and meet customer expectations.
