Who you are

You have a strong background in software engineering, particularly in building secure and scalable systems. Your experience includes working with security observability infrastructure and you are comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop robust software solutions. You understand the importance of security in technology and are committed to enhancing security measures within an organization.

You possess strong programming skills, particularly in Python, and have experience with cloud services such as AWS. Your familiarity with data pipelines and tools like Docker and Elasticsearch allows you to effectively centralize and store security-relevant data from diverse sources. You are proactive in improving the resilience and reliability of data systems to ensure high platform availability.

What you'll do

In this role, you will design and develop scalable software systems that facilitate security observability across OpenAI's infrastructure. You will build and maintain data pipelines that centralize and store security-relevant data from various sources, ensuring that the systems are resilient and reliable. Collaborating closely with the Detection & Response (D&R) team and other security teams, you will work to reduce the company’s security risk and contribute to the overall security culture at OpenAI.

You will be responsible for enhancing the security observability infrastructure, which is critical to OpenAI’s mission of ensuring that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. Your contributions will directly impact the security of OpenAI’s technology, people, and products, and you will be part of a team that prioritizes for impact and prepares for future transformative technologies.
