OpenAI is hiring a Manager of Solutions Engineering to lead technical aspects of their sales process in Australia and New Zealand. You'll ensure customers maximize value from OpenAI's models and platforms. This role requires strong leadership and technical expertise.

You are a deeply technical, customer-obsessed leader with a proven track record in sales engineering. You have experience overseeing technical aspects of the sales process, ensuring customers realize maximum value from products and services. Your leadership skills enable you to develop a high-performing team of Solutions Engineers who deliver exceptional technical expertise and customer outcomes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales, solutions architecture, customer success, and product teams to create a cohesive experience for customers.

You possess a strong understanding of the technical landscape and can effectively communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Your ability to unify customer-facing technical teams around a common goal is key to your success. You are committed to ensuring the safe and effective deployment of AI applications, acting as a trusted advisor to customers throughout their journey.

What you'll do

In this role, you will own and elevate the technical aspects of OpenAI’s sales motion, ensuring that customers maximize the impact and adoption of OpenAI’s models and platforms. You will oversee pre-sales solution design and technical validation, working closely with post-sales teams to ensure continuity and long-term success for customers. Your leadership will guide your team in delivering exceptional technical expertise and credibility, fostering trust and collaboration across the organization.

You will play a critical role in shaping the go-to-market strategy, influencing the direction of technology in the market and how organizations adopt it. Your responsibilities will include leading technical discussions with customers, providing insights into best practices, and ensuring that the Solutions Engineering team is equipped to meet customer needs effectively. You will also be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, helping them grow their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
