What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development of Oportun's machine learning infrastructure, overseeing the entire lifecycle from model conception to deployment. You will collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to design and implement scalable ML solutions that meet the needs of our clients. Your responsibilities will include conducting experiments to optimize model performance, ensuring that the models are robust and reliable in production environments. You will also be responsible for monitoring model performance and making necessary adjustments to improve accuracy and efficiency. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and best practices to foster their growth. You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of the team's development processes.
