Who you are
You have a solid foundation in actuarial science and are ready to take on the responsibilities of an Analyst II. You understand the intricacies of pricing, forecasting, and valuation processes, particularly in the context of health insurance. Your analytical skills are complemented by your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a team that values innovation and member service.
Desirable
Experience with Affordable Care Act (ACA) markets is a plus, as is familiarity with actuarial modeling software. You may also have a background in data analysis or financial modeling, which will enhance your contributions to the team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will maintain Oscar's forecasting, valuation, and pricing processes for several ACA markets. You will oversee the regular maintenance and review of actuarial models used to develop pricing, forecasting, trend analytics, and IBNR projections. Your insights will be crucial in developing and submitting regulatory filings, and you will play an important role in making strategic pricing recommendations. You will work closely with the Manager, Actuarial, and collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency and standardization across team users. Your contributions will directly impact Oscar's ability to serve its members effectively and sustainably.

Oscar provides a competitive salary range of $65,520 - $85,995 per year, along with comprehensive employee benefits and participation in an unlimited vacation program. You will enjoy a hybrid work schedule, with three days in the office and flexibility for the remaining days.
