Job Description
Who you are
You have extensive experience in tax compliance and management, particularly in income tax provisions under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and statutory reporting. Your background includes reviewing federal, state, and local tax returns, and you have a strong understanding of tax planning and projects. You are skilled in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that tax processes are efficient and compliant.
You possess strong leadership qualities, having previously supported a tax leadership team in developing strategic initiatives. Your ability to communicate effectively with various departments and external partners is a key asset, allowing you to navigate complex tax issues and provide clear guidance to your team. You are detail-oriented and have a proactive approach to problem-solving, which helps you identify opportunities for improvement in tax processes.
What you'll do
As the Associate Director, Tax, you will lead the annual and quarterly tax GAAP and statutory tax provision processes. This involves managing the preparation and review of U.S. federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate holding companies and insurance subsidiaries. You will also oversee the relationships necessary to support these processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy in all tax filings.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Tax leadership team to develop and implement department strategies that align with Oscar's overall goals. You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding your team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development. Your insights will be crucial in shaping the tax strategy and ensuring that Oscar remains compliant with all tax regulations.
What we offer
Oscar provides a competitive salary range of $162,453 - $213,220 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes participation in an unlimited vacation program and annual performance bonuses.
