Who you are
You have a strong background in data analysis, particularly in the healthcare sector, and are skilled in SQL — you understand how to manipulate and analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights. You are detail-oriented and have experience in reviewing claims data to identify discrepancies and incorrect payments.
You possess excellent communication skills, allowing you to effectively mediate errors with key stakeholders and collaborate with internal and external partners. Your analytical mindset enables you to identify thematic areas of opportunity to reduce incorrect payments, contributing to the overall integrity of payment processes.
What you'll do
As a Data Analyst at Oscar, you will be responsible for analyzing and investigating claims data to support the Payment Integrity team. You will conduct thorough reviews of claims to identify incorrect payments and support quality control efforts. Your role will involve utilizing data analysis tools to develop accurate, quantitative analyses of issues, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
You will work closely with the Senior Manager of Payment Integrity to identify areas for improvement and collaborate with team members to implement solutions. Your insights will help shape the strategies used to reduce errors and enhance the overall payment integrity process. You will also be involved in mediating errors with key stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and aligned on findings and resolutions.
