What you'll do

As the Lead Data Scientist at Oscar, you will be responsible for driving the analytics and modeling efforts for our claims payment system. You will partner with operations and technology leaders to design and implement initiatives that enhance system performance. Your role will involve using sophisticated measurement and data mining techniques to extract deep insights from our data. You will translate business goals into actionable plans for your team, ensuring that your work aligns with the broader objectives of the organization. You will also participate in establishing long-term strategies and roadmaps, collaborating with senior leaders to define the direction of data initiatives.

In this role, you will lead a team of data professionals, providing guidance and mentorship to help them grow in their careers. You will be involved in the full lifecycle of data projects, from initial concept through implementation and evaluation. Your ability to communicate complex findings clearly will be essential as you present insights to stakeholders across the organization. You will also be responsible for ensuring that data quality and integrity are maintained throughout the analytics process, contributing to the overall success of our data-driven initiatives.

Oscar offers a competitive salary range of $174,400 - $228,900 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes employee equity grants and annual performance bonuses.
