What you'll do
As the Lead Data Scientist at Oscar, you will be responsible for driving the analytics and modeling efforts for our claims payment system — your work will directly impact our goal of becoming the most automated and efficient insurer in the industry. You will partner with various teams to design and implement strategies that improve claims system performance, leveraging your expertise in data analysis and machine learning.
You will utilize advanced data mining techniques to extract deep insights from our data, enabling rapid decision-making and operational improvements. Your role will involve mentoring junior data scientists and fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making within the team. You will also participate in team-wide initiatives to establish longer-term strategies and roadmaps that align with Oscar's mission.
What we offer
Oscar provides a competitive salary range of $174,400 - $228,900 per year, along with employee benefits, company equity grants, and annual performance bonuses.
