What you'll do

As a Staff Software Engineer at Oscar, you will lead the design and development of enhancements to our next-generation claims and payment processing systems. You will work on a broad problem space that includes contract and pricing configuration, ensuring that our systems are both extensible and efficient. Your role will involve applying AI selectively to automate processes that have traditionally been tedious and error-prone, thereby improving overall efficiency.

You will collaborate closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure that the systems you develop meet the needs of our members. Your focus will be on building scalable solutions that can handle the complexities of health insurance processing. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior engineers and sharing your expertise with the team, fostering a culture of learning and innovation.

What we offer

Oscar offers a competitive salary range of $192,000 - $252,000 per year, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes participation in our unlimited vacation program and company equity grants.
