Osmo is seeking an EHS Manager to build and manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety programs for their manufacturing operations in Elizabeth, NJ. This role requires a hands-on EHS professional with experience in regulatory compliance and safety culture development.

You are an experienced EHS professional with a strong background in environmental, health, and safety management. You have a proven track record of establishing and maintaining EHS programs that ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Your hands-on approach allows you to operate independently while effectively collaborating with engineering and operations teams. You are passionate about building a proactive safety culture in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey complex safety concepts to diverse audiences. You are detail-oriented and have a strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices. Your ability to analyze data and implement effective training programs sets you apart as a leader in EHS management. You thrive in dynamic environments and are committed to continuous improvement in safety practices.
Desirable
Experience in a manufacturing or lab environment is a plus, as is familiarity with automated processes and materials handling. You may also have certifications in safety management or related fields, which would enhance your qualifications for this role.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and manage site-wide environmental, health, and safety programs at Osmo's manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for building, implementing, and maintaining EHS systems, procedures, and training programs to ensure regulatory compliance. Your expertise will help create a safe and compliant production environment, enabling the company to scale its operations effectively.
You will collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to identify potential safety hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks. Your role will involve conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure adherence to safety protocols. You will also lead training sessions to educate employees on safety practices and promote a culture of safety within the organization.
As the EHS Manager, you will be instrumental in fostering a proactive safety culture, encouraging employees to take ownership of their safety responsibilities. You will analyze safety data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as necessary. Your leadership will be key in driving continuous improvement initiatives related to health and safety.
