Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in product management, ideally with experience in developer tools or platforms. You understand the challenges developers face and are passionate about creating solutions that enhance their workflows. Your collaborative spirit allows you to work effectively with engineering, design, and community stakeholders to drive product success. You are data-driven and can leverage metrics to inform product decisions and prioritize features that deliver the most value to users.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate product vision and strategy to both technical and non-technical audiences. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously. Your ability to empathize with users helps you to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement in the developer experience.
What you'll do
As a Product Manager at Pantheon, you will own the tools and workflows that support developers from onboarding to their first meaningful commit. You will work closely with the engineering team to enhance version control integrations, CLI, build systems, and local development experiences. Your role will involve gathering feedback from the developer community to understand their needs and iterating on product features to improve usability and efficiency.
You will define and track success metrics for your product area, ensuring that you are meeting the needs of your users and driving engagement. Collaborating with design, you will create user-friendly interfaces that simplify complex processes. You will also participate in sprint planning and prioritize the product backlog based on user feedback and strategic goals.
In addition, you will conduct user research to gather insights into developer workflows and identify areas for improvement. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with marketing to ensure that product features are effectively communicated to users and that they align with go-to-market strategies. You will also be involved in competitive analysis to keep Pantheon ahead in the market.
