You have 2-8 years of relevant experience in sales and distribution or business development — you've successfully led teams and driven market growth in your previous roles. Your educational background includes a graduation or MBA, equipping you with the necessary skills to excel in this position.
You possess strong leadership qualities and are skilled in coaching and mentoring team members — you understand the importance of aligning your team's efforts with business objectives and are adept at communicating plans and targets effectively. Your ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts will help you adapt to the dynamic nature of the market.
You are results-driven and have a proven track record of growing distribution and market share — your strategic mindset allows you to devise effective methods for team communication and performance monitoring. You are also familiar with quality parameters and can conduct audits to ensure compliance with management standards.
What you'll do
As a Sales Team Leader at Paytm, you will report directly to the Area Sales Manager and oversee a team of 10-20 field executives. Your primary responsibility will be to grow distribution and market share in the assigned area of operations, focusing on the QR Code and Soundbox segment. You will identify and recruit sales team members, ensuring they are well-equipped to drive business in the market.
You will plan the market size, span, and geographies for field sales executives, devising strategies to optimize their performance. Monitoring quality parameters as suggested by management will be crucial, as will validating and conducting audits on acquisitions and sales made by your team. You will ensure that your team members are actively engaged in the market where sales and usage occur, fostering a culture of accountability and visibility.
