Who you are

You have 3+ years of experience working with relational databases, particularly MySQL, and possess a solid understanding of Linux OS fundamentals. Your proficiency in shell usage allows you to navigate and manage systems effectively, utilizing commands like less, nano, vim, grep, and others to perform essential tasks. You are skilled in using SSH to connect to remote systems, ensuring secure and efficient access to databases. Your understanding of system performance concepts, including I/O, load, CPU, RAM, and disk usage, enables you to diagnose and resolve performance-related issues effectively.

You are familiar with automation tools and practices, which helps streamline database management tasks. Your basic knowledge of InnoDB internals and Performance Schema equips you to optimize MySQL queries, ensuring that databases run efficiently and meet customer needs. You thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating strong communication skills to build relationships with customers and understand their requirements.

What you'll do

In this role, you will troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database availability and performance, ensuring that customer databases are running smoothly. You will build strong relationships with customers, engaging with them regularly to understand their needs and ensure ongoing satisfaction. Your responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and performing technical tasks to deliver the best solutions on time. You will react quickly to incidents, implementing solutions aimed at continuous environmental improvement.

You will work closely with a team of world-class DBAs, providing 24/7 support to customers and delivering high-quality service. Your focus will always be on customer satisfaction and delivering measurable business results.
