Who you are

You have 8+ years of experience as a hands-on Solutions Architect or Data Engineer, where you've designed and implemented data solutions that meet complex business needs. Your expertise includes leading teams and mentoring other engineers, ensuring that you can guide others while delivering high-quality results. You have a strong ability to develop end-to-end technical solutions that are production-ready, focusing on performance, security, scalability, and robust data integration.

Your programming skills are solid, particularly in Java, Python, and Scala, allowing you to tackle a variety of technical challenges. You are well-versed in core cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Databricks, and GCP, which enables you to leverage the best tools for the job. Your SQL skills are exceptional, allowing you to write, debug, and optimize queries effectively.

You possess excellent client-facing communication skills, both written and verbal, which help you articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to a culture of technological curiosity and trust.

Desirable

Experience with additional data tools like Fivetran, Pinecone, and Glean would be a plus, as would any relevant certifications in cloud platforms or data engineering.

What you'll do

In this role, you will join phData's innovative team to help global enterprises overcome their toughest data challenges. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that leverage major cloud data platforms. Your work will involve collaborating with clients to understand their needs and translating those into technical specifications that guide the development process.

You will lead projects from conception to deployment, ensuring that all solutions are scalable and secure. Your role will also include mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team. You will regularly engage with clients to provide updates and gather feedback, ensuring that the solutions you deliver meet their expectations.
