What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the modeling strategy for content understanding at Pinterest, focusing on multimodal approaches that include both vision and NLP. You will design and ship production models that generate high-quality content signals, such as embeddings and classifications, which are utilized across various product surfaces. You will own the full machine learning lifecycle, from data and labeling strategy to model training and evaluation, ensuring that the models you develop are robust and scalable.

You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to define success metrics and drive the implementation of machine learning solutions that enhance relevance and retrieval across Pinterest's platform. Your work will directly contribute to improving the integrity of content on the platform, helping to detect spam and low-quality content effectively. You will also mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and expertise to foster a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
