Plaud is seeking a Head of Marketing to develop and execute market strategies in Japan. You'll focus on brand strategy, business development, and cross-functional team management. This role requires over 8 years of experience in B2B SaaS or technology companies.
Job Description
Who you are
You have over 8 years of experience in B2B SaaS or technology companies, with a proven track record in launching brands and entering markets in Japan. Your deep understanding of Japanese corporate customers, including their decision-making processes and purchasing behaviors, sets you apart. You possess native-level Japanese language skills and business-level English proficiency, allowing you to communicate effectively with global teams. Your experience in startup or high-growth environments has equipped you with the skills and mindset necessary to thrive in dynamic settings.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing market strategies and business development initiatives tailored to the Japanese market. You will identify priority industries and target segments by deeply understanding customers, industries, and competitors. You will also lead the establishment and expansion of PLG/B2B sales channels in Japan. Your role will involve crafting messages that resonate with the Japanese audience while maintaining the global brand's vision. You will manage media relations, PR activities, and thought leadership initiatives, including public speaking and social media management. Building strategic partnerships with distributors, SIers, and industry associations will be key to your success, as will fostering user communities and organizing brand experience events both online and offline. You will collaborate cross-functionally with global product, marketing, sales, and customer success teams while establishing and managing local teams in Japan.
