Plaud is hiring a Senior User Research Manager to drive user understanding and optimize product experiences. You'll conduct qualitative and quantitative research, synthesize data, and partner with product and design teams. This role requires 5+ years of experience in user research.
Job Description
Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in user research or customer insight, ideally with a focus on international product teams. Your background includes a Bachelorβs degree or higher in HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Market Research, Statistics, or a related field. You are proficient in various research methods such as in-depth interviews, usability testing, and surveys, and you understand the working and lifestyle habits of Western knowledge professionals. Your familiarity with behavior patterns across roles and industries makes you a valuable asset in understanding user needs.
You are fluent in English and Mandarin, which allows you to engage effectively with diverse user groups. Your international work or living experience in Western or Southeast Asian markets is a strong plus, enhancing your ability to conduct research across different cultural contexts. You are passionate about championing a user-centered culture and have a proven track record of embedding user-centric thinking across teams.
What you'll do
In this role, you will drive deep user understanding by conducting qualitative and quantitative research to uncover user needs, behaviors, and motivations. You will build comprehensive user personas that guide product strategy and experience optimization. Establishing and continuously improving a user insight system will be a key responsibility, including user surveys, NPS, interviews, usability tests, and journey mapping.
You will act as the βvoice of the userβ throughout the product lifecycle, partnering closely with product managers and designers to ensure alignment with real-world user needs. Leading or participating in remote and in-person user research with English-speaking users worldwide will be part of your duties. You will produce clear, actionable research reports for global stakeholders, synthesizing behavioral data, survey results, and market intelligence to identify product opportunities and usability issues.
You will work cross-functionally with product, design, marketing, and operations teams to promote and embed a user-first mindset and methodology across the organization. Your insights will help drive strategic improvements and enhance the overall user experience.
