Who you are
You hold a Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science, and you have a minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative research. You possess a solid understanding of market impact and are proficient in programming languages such as Python and C++. Your experience includes building statistical models for intraday studies, and you are committed to the highest ethical standards in your work.
You have a strong knowledge of macro products, including FX and bonds, which enhances your ability to contribute to trading strategies. You are adept at collaborating with cross-functional teams, including portfolio managers and researchers, to design and implement effective solutions for trading strategies. Staying current with changes in market microstructure is a priority for you, ensuring that your strategies remain relevant and effective.
What you'll do
In this role, you will research and develop in-house trading strategies that are utilized by both discretionary and quantitative traders. You will conduct quantitative research on market microstructure, applying your knowledge to improve trading algorithms and identify market anomalies. Your responsibilities will include developing and maintaining predictive models to optimize trade execution and minimize transaction costs, utilizing both linear and non-linear techniques.
Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with portfolio managers and researchers to design and implement solutions that enhance trading strategies. You will also be responsible for reporting on changes in market microstructure, ensuring that your team is informed and able to adapt strategies accordingly. Your analytical skills will be crucial in identifying opportunities for improvement and driving the success of trading initiatives.
What we offer
Point72 offers a competitive annual base salary range of $125,000 to $200,000, with actual compensation varying based on geographic location, work experience, education, and skill level. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact trading performance.
