Who you are
You hold a B.S., M.S., or PhD in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, or another quantitative discipline — your academic background has equipped you with strong analytical and quantitative skills. You are detail-oriented and possess a strong desire to deliver high-quality results in a timely fashion. You are willing to take ownership of your work and can work both independently and collaboratively within a team. While prior experience in the financial services industry is not required, you are eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
You have programming experience in Python or a comparable language, along with a working knowledge of SQL. Your strong analytical skills enable you to digest and analyze complex data sets effectively. You are committed to maintaining the highest ethical standards in your work and are excited about the opportunity to become a thought leader within a collaborative research group.
What you'll do
As an Entry-Level Quantitative Analyst at Point72, you will conduct original quantitative alpha signal research, focusing on predictive models that can drive trading strategies. You will follow, digest, and analyze the latest academic research to inform your work. Managing all aspects of the research process will be a key part of your role, including idea generation, data analysis, hypothesis development and testing, alpha discovery, trading strategy generation, backtesting, and portfolio analysis. You will also build analytical tools to supplement our shared research framework, contributing to the overall success of the team.
