Job Description
Who you are
You have 2+ years of research experience in Equities, demonstrating a strong background in alpha research. With a Ph.D. or M.S. in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, operations research, or another quantitative discipline, you possess the analytical skills necessary for this role. Your programming expertise in languages such as R, Python, or C++ allows you to manage complex data analysis tasks effectively. You have experience with SQL, enabling you to evaluate new datasets for alpha potential. Detail-oriented and driven, you have a strong desire to deliver high-quality results in a timely fashion, whether working independently or collaboratively within a team.
Desirable
You have a demonstrated ability to learn and apply new methodologies to alpha generation, which is crucial for success in this highly selective role. Your familiarity with the latest academic research in finance and quantitative analysis will help you improve upon existing strategies and contribute to the team's overall success.
What you'll do
In this role, you will conduct original quantitative alpha signal research, managing all aspects of the research process from data analysis to alpha signal discovery. You will be responsible for backtesting trading ideas and generating actionable insights that directly drive investment decisions.
