Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in event management and community engagement, ideally with experience in the tech industry. You understand the importance of building authentic relationships within developer communities and have a knack for creating engaging experiences that resonate with technical audiences. You are passionate about automation and the role it plays in modern workflows, and you are excited to contribute to a remote-first culture that values collaboration and innovation.
Desirable
Experience in the data engineering or AI/ML space is a plus, as is familiarity with open-source communities. You thrive in environments where you can leverage your creativity to design events that not only inform but also inspire participants to engage with the Prefect ecosystem. You are comfortable working with cross-functional teams and can effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for driving Prefect's event strategy from conception to execution. This includes identifying key conferences and events to attend, as well as designing world-class developer-focused experiences that attract data engineers, MCP/Context engineers, and AI/ML engineers. You will own the full lifecycle of event presence, ensuring that each event aligns with Prefect's mission and vision.
You will work closely with the marketing and product teams to build the PyAI brand through strategic community engagement.
