Overview
Privy is hiring a Developer Support Engineer to assist developers in troubleshooting integration issues and optimizing their experience with the platform. You'll work closely with engineering and product teams, leveraging your programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript.
Job Description
Who you are
You have 3+ years of experience in a technical support, solutions engineering, developer success, or software engineering role — you've developed a strong understanding of how to assist developers in overcoming technical challenges and enhancing their integration experiences. Your programming and debugging skills are robust, ideally across JavaScript and TypeScript, and you are comfortable working with APIs and SDKs to resolve issues efficiently.
You thrive in collaborative environments, partnering closely with engineering and product teams to advocate for customer needs — your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly helps bridge the gap between developers and internal teams. You are customer-obsessed, always looking for ways to improve the developer experience and reduce friction in their interactions with the platform.
What you'll do
As a Developer Support Engineer at Privy, you will serve as the technical support owner for developers, triaging, debugging, and resolving technical issues across APIs, SDKs, and product integrations. You will collaborate with engineering to escalate and prioritize bugs, product feedback, and edge cases surfaced from developer support interactions. Your role will involve creating and maintaining technical resources, including troubleshooting guides, FAQs, friction logs, starter repositories, and code samples to empower developers to succeed independently.
You will partner with product and documentation teams to continually improve onboarding and integration experiences based on real-world developer feedback — your insights will help shape the resources and tools available to developers. Additionally, you will help define and optimize internal processes for technical support, ensuring scalability and high-quality service as Privy grows.
What we offer
Privy offers a dynamic work environment where you can make a significant impact on the developer experience. You will have the opportunity to work alongside talented engineers and product managers, contributing to a culture of craft and ownership. As we continue to grow, you will play a key role in defining our approach to developer success, ensuring that our customers receive the best possible support and resources.
