Overview

Rackspace is hiring a Data Center Operations Technician III to manage IT infrastructure and ensure customer server environments maintain 99.999% uptime. This role is based in Richardson, TX and requires on-site work.

Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in data center operations, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring high availability of customer server environments. You understand the importance of maintaining uptime and security in a data center setting, and you are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. You are detail-oriented and have a strong sense of responsibility for the systems you manage. You thrive in a team-oriented atmosphere and are willing to work the 3rd shift from Friday to Monday, with flexibility for a five-day work week if preferred.

What you'll do

As a Data Center Operations Technician III, you will be responsible for overseeing all IT infrastructure within the data center. This includes managing customer configurations and ensuring that all server environments are secure and operational. You will work closely with other technicians to troubleshoot issues and maintain the highest standards of uptime. Your role will involve monitoring systems, performing regular maintenance, and implementing best practices for data center operations. You will also be expected to document processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the team.
