You have experience in data center operations, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring high availability of customer server environments. You understand the importance of maintaining security and operational efficiency in a data center setting. You are comfortable working on-site during the 3rd shift, demonstrating your commitment to keeping systems running smoothly at all hours. You thrive in a structured environment and are adept at following protocols to ensure uptime and security. You are detail-oriented and proactive in identifying potential issues before they escalate. You possess strong problem-solving skills and can work effectively under pressure, ensuring that all customer configurations are handled with care and precision.
What you'll do
As a Data Center Operations Technician III, you will be responsible for overseeing all IT infrastructure within the data center environment. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that customer server environments are secure and operational, maintaining an impressive uptime of 99.999%. You will work closely with other technicians and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to services. You will also be responsible for implementing best practices in data center operations, including monitoring systems, performing routine maintenance, and documenting processes. Your role will require you to be on-site at the Rackspace facility in Elk Grove Village, IL, working during the 3rd shift from 9:30 pm to 8:30 am, Monday through Thursday, or the 2nd shift from 3:30 pm to 2:30 am, Thursday through Sunday.
