Who you are
You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in Android development, and you are passionate about quality assurance. Your background includes designing and developing test automation frameworks and tools that enhance the software development lifecycle. You thrive in collaborative environments and are skilled at analyzing production issues to identify gaps in testing. Your expertise allows you to influence engineering teams on best practices for unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
You are adept at maintaining test infrastructure stability and have experience troubleshooting and triaging issues across various teams. Your strong communication skills enable you to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive root cause identification and resolution. You understand the importance of establishing quality standards and are committed to fostering an engineering culture that prioritizes quality in all software feature development.
Desirable
Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices is a plus, as is familiarity with various testing methodologies. You may also have a background in contributing to open-source projects or participating in community-driven initiatives that enhance software quality.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and evolving test automation frameworks and tools that support the Quality Engineering organization at Reddit. You will analyze production issues and identify test gaps across the entire testing stack, making systemic improvements to automated testing processes. Your contributions will help ensure the stability of test infrastructure in non-production environments, allowing for seamless testing and deployment of new features.
You will participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with different teams, driving towards root cause identification and resolution. Your influence will extend across the entire engineering organization as you advocate for best practices in unit, integration, and end-to-end testing. You will work closely with software development teams to ensure that quality is integrated into every stage of the development pipeline, from design to deployment.
