You have 5+ years of experience in software engineering, particularly in test engineering, where you've developed and maintained test automation frameworks that enhance software quality. Your expertise in Java and Android development allows you to create robust testing tools that integrate seamlessly into the development pipeline. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify testing gaps and implement effective solutions. Your analytical skills enable you to troubleshoot production issues and drive systemic improvements in automated testing processes. You are passionate about quality and have a strong understanding of unit, integration, and end-to-end testing methodologies. You are committed to fostering an engineering culture that prioritizes quality in all software feature development teams.
Desirable
Experience with additional testing tools and frameworks is a plus, as is familiarity with CI/CD processes. You may also have a background in mentoring junior engineers, helping them grow their skills in test automation and quality assurance practices.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and evolving test automation frameworks, tools, and services that support the Quality Engineering team at Reddit. You will analyze production issues and identify test gaps across the entire testing stack, making systemic improvements to automated testing processes. Your work will involve maintaining test infrastructure stability in non-production environments, ensuring that all testing tools are reliable and effective. You will participate in troubleshooting and triaging issues with various teams, driving towards root cause identification and resolution. Additionally, you will influence the engineering organization on best practices for unit, integration, and end-to-end tests, helping to establish quality standards across the development pipelines.
