Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in security operations, with a strong background in leading teams and implementing security solutions that protect organizations from internal and external threats. Your expertise includes incident response and threat detection, and you are well-versed in forensic technologies and eDiscovery processes. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineering, product, IT, and compliance teams to ensure robust security measures are in place. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to articulate security strategies and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. You are passionate about building a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement within your organization.
Desirable
Experience with automation in security operations and familiarity with legal holds and compliance requirements would be advantageous. A background in financial technology or cryptocurrency is a plus, as is knowledge of the latest security trends and technologies.
What you'll do
In this leadership role, you will drive the evolution of the Security Operations Center (SOC) by streamlining incident response processes and minimizing false alarms. You will maintain a continuous loop of monitoring and evaluation for security operations, ensuring that investigations and threat hunting are conducted effectively. Your role will involve leading the collaboration with security and software engineering teams to implement robust monitoring and detection capabilities for Ripple's products. You will oversee the development of operational processes designed to enhance the organization's security posture and ensure compliance with industry standards. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and developing your team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
