Ritual is seeking a Legal Counsel to establish and manage the legal framework for the company. You'll provide strategic legal advice on corporate, employment, and regulatory matters, particularly in Web3 and AI. Who you are
As the first in-house legal hire, you bring a wealth of experience in corporate, employment, and regulatory legal matters, particularly in the realms of Web3 and AI. You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments, capable of navigating complex legal landscapes while providing strategic advice to the executive team. Your expertise allows you to build the legal function from the ground up, creating policies and processes that support the company's growth.
You have a strong understanding of corporate governance and compliance, ensuring that the company adheres to all relevant regulations and best practices. Your experience includes drafting and managing board resolutions, minutes, and shareholder agreements, which are crucial for maintaining corporate integrity. You are adept at contract management, capable of drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including commercial, vendor, and partnership contracts.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and managing all aspects of the legal framework for Ritual. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team and board on legal, regulatory, and business matters, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks as the company scales. You will build the legal function from the ground up, creating policies, processes, and templates to support the companyβs growth.
Your responsibilities will include overseeing corporate governance, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices. You will draft and manage board resolutions, minutes, and shareholder agreements, which are essential for maintaining corporate integrity. Additionally, you will handle contract management, drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements, including commercial, vendor, and partnership contracts.
