Who you are

You have 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, with a strong focus on designing and implementing secure, scalable, and cost-optimized cloud services. Your expertise spans across multiple cloud providers including AWS, Azure, GCP, and OCI, and you are well-versed in cloud governance and compliance practices. You have a solid understanding of infrastructure as code, particularly with tools like Terraform, and are comfortable working in a fully SaaS environment. Your background includes mentoring junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration within your team.

You are proficient in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, enabling you to build and manage cloud-native applications effectively. You understand the importance of operational excellence and have experience implementing automation to enhance efficiency and reduce manual processes. Your communication skills allow you to work closely with cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment on cloud strategies and initiatives.

Desirable

What you'll do

As a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer at Rubrik, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of cloud services across the organization. You will design, build, and govern our multi-cloud foundation services, ensuring they meet security, compliance, and operational standards. Your responsibilities will include collaborating with engineering teams to implement best practices in cloud architecture and governance, as well as mentoring junior engineers to help them grow in their roles.

You will be responsible for enhancing our cloud infrastructure, focusing on automation and efficiency to support the company's growth objectives. This includes optimizing cloud resource usage and implementing cost management strategies. You will also work closely with the IT team to ensure that all stages of the software development lifecycle are conducted in a secured environment, scrutinizing deployment processes and governance.

Your role will involve driving end-to-end cloud initiatives, from initial design through to deployment and ongoing management. You will be expected to stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, bringing innovative solutions to the team. You will also participate in incident response and troubleshooting, ensuring high availability and performance of cloud services.
