Salient is hiring a Head of People to lead the people function as the company scales from 50 to over 100 employees. You'll build strategic HR infrastructure and partner with leadership on talent decisions. This role is based in San Francisco.

You have a strong background in people operations, with experience in building and scaling HR functions in fast-growing companies. You understand the importance of shaping company culture and have a strategic mindset to align people initiatives with business goals. You are comfortable working closely with leadership and have a proven track record of managing performance, compensation frameworks, and employee relations. You thrive in an in-person office culture and are energized by the opportunity to make a significant impact on the organization.
You possess excellent communication skills and can effectively partner with various stakeholders to drive people initiatives. Your experience includes developing employee development programs and fostering a positive workplace environment. You are adaptable and can navigate the complexities of a rapidly growing organization, ensuring that the people function evolves to meet the needs of the business.
What you'll do
As the Head of People, you will build and own the people strategy, focusing on performance management, compensation, employee development, and culture initiatives. You will partner with leadership on organizational design and headcount planning, ensuring that the company has the right talent in place to achieve its goals. You will lead efforts to enhance employee engagement and retention, creating a workplace where employees feel valued and motivated.
You will also be responsible for implementing HR best practices and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. Your role will involve analyzing data to inform people decisions and drive continuous improvement in HR processes. You will work closely with the CEO and other leaders to align people strategies with the overall business objectives, making sure that the people function supports the company's growth trajectory.
