Saronic is seeking a Buyer for Aluminum and Raw Materials to support the production of autonomous surface vessels. You'll be responsible for strategic sourcing and procurement of aluminum materials, ensuring timely delivery and quality. This role requires expertise in supplier management and procurement processes.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a strong background in procurement and supplier management, particularly in the aluminum market. Your experience includes strategic sourcing and negotiating pricing to ensure the best quality materials for manufacturing operations. You thrive in a collaborative environment, working closely with cross-functional teams to align material specifications and forecast demand.

Your expertise in aluminum raw materials, including flat-rolled aluminum and ingots, allows you to identify and manage reliable suppliers effectively. You understand the importance of timely delivery and quality assurance in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment, especially when supporting national defense capabilities.

You possess excellent negotiation skills and are adept at managing supplier relationships to meet cost, schedule, and performance requirements. Your ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering, and planning teams ensures that material continuity is maintained throughout the manufacturing process.

Desirable

Experience in the maritime or defense industry would be a plus, as it provides context for the unique challenges faced in this role. Familiarity with procurement software and tools can enhance your efficiency in managing supplier interactions and tracking material orders.

What you'll do

In this role, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing and procurement of aluminum raw materials critical to Saronic's maritime manufacturing operations.
