Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting with a focus on revenue and inventory processes — your experience includes executing monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities with precision and accuracy. You thrive in environments that require attention to detail and a commitment to compliance with U.S. GAAP standards, especially in complex commercial agreements.
You are adept at identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation — your analytical mindset allows you to leverage data and reporting tools effectively, reducing manual efforts in reconciliations and journal entries. You understand the importance of documentation and accuracy in financial reporting, ensuring that all close schedules are meticulously prepared and reviewed.
You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and support audit requests related to revenue and inventory accounting. Your ability to work in a fast-paced environment makes you a valuable asset to any accounting team.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and execute revenue and inventory-related close activities as part of the monthly close process — your responsibilities will include preparing, reviewing, and reconciling close schedules, ensuring that all financial data is accurate and timely. You will actively seek ways to automate processes, identifying opportunities to streamline reconciliations and reduce reliance on large spreadsheet models.
You will leverage data warehouse outputs to support close analytics and variance analysis, providing insights that drive decision-making within the organization. Additionally, you will ensure that revenue is recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP, maintaining compliance with all relevant accounting standards.
