Who you are
You have a strong background in accounting with a focus on revenue and inventory processes β your experience includes executing monthly close activities and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are excited about leveraging automation and data analytics to improve workflows. Your attention to detail ensures accuracy in financial reporting, and you are adept at identifying opportunities for process improvements.
You are comfortable working with complex commercial agreements and have experience in preparing and reconciling close schedules. Your analytical mindset allows you to conduct variance analysis and support audit requests effectively. You are a hands-on individual contributor who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to modernize accounting practices.
What you'll do
In this role, you will own and execute revenue and inventory-related close activities as part of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process. You will prepare, review, and reconcile close schedules, focusing on accuracy and documentation. Your goal will be to reduce manual close efforts by identifying opportunities to automate reconciliations and journal entries, utilizing data warehouse outputs and reporting tools to support close analytics.
You will ensure that revenue is recorded in accordance with U.S. GAAP, including managing complex and bespoke commercial agreements. Additionally, you will support inventory accounting processes related to ticket brokerage activities, including cost recognition and reserves. Your contributions will play a critical role in modernizing revenue and inventory accounting workflows in a high-volume marketplace business.
