Who you are
You have over 5 years of experience in Analytics, Data Engineering, or data-focused products — your track record demonstrates your ability to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet enterprise-level operational excellence. Your expert-level knowledge of SQL allows you to manipulate and analyze data effectively, while your strong proficiency in Python enables you to build robust data applications. You have experience interfacing with streaming data and data warehousing environments, which equips you to handle complex data challenges. Your familiarity with DBT and Kafka showcases your capability in modern data engineering practices, making you a valuable asset to any data-driven team.
You are a mentor at heart — you enjoy guiding other engineers in their technical growth and fostering a collaborative environment. You lead by example, producing clean, well-tested code and thorough documentation that sets a standard for operational excellence. Your communication skills allow you to partner closely with a world-class Product Team, ensuring that you develop requirements that align with the delivery of complex data-driven products. You understand the importance of managing data quality and are proactive in instituting best practices across the organization.
Desirable
Experience with cloud platforms and data visualization tools would be a plus, as it complements your existing skill set. Familiarity with agile methodologies can enhance your ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, driving projects to successful completion.
What you'll do
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Data Products team at SeatGeek, you will build software and tooling that powers our Enterprise Data Services — your work will provide industry-leading data products and services to top sporting and entertainment organizations worldwide. You will be responsible for rearchitecting and building the next generation of solutions that our clients have come to appreciate and love. Your role will involve mentoring other engineers, helping them grow technically, and fostering a culture of excellence within the team.
You will partner closely with the Product Team to develop requirements for delivering complex data-driven products — your ability to communicate and collaborate with stakeholders throughout the company will be crucial in instituting best practices aimed at managing data quality. You will produce clean, well-tested code and thorough documentation, ensuring that operational excellence is maintained across all projects. Your experience with streaming data and data warehousing will be invaluable as you tackle the challenges of building scalable data solutions.
