Overview
Skydio is hiring a Systems Administrator to provide end-to-end technical support across various operating systems and manage infrastructure automation. You'll work with technologies like Terraform and scripting languages such as Python and Bash in San Mateo.
Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in IT systems administration, with experience providing technical support across Linux, Windows, and Mac systems. Your proactive approach and excellent interpersonal skills enable you to optimize processes and maintain a reliable IT environment. You are familiar with managing access and provisioning using tools like Okta and Workspace One, ensuring secure and efficient user experiences.
You possess solid scripting skills in Python and Bash, which you use to automate recurrent IT tasks and improve operational efficiency. Your knowledge of network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump allows you to diagnose and resolve network performance issues effectively. You are also experienced in using Terraform for infrastructure automation, managing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to streamline provisioning and system management.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive technical support to Skydio's team, ensuring that all systems run smoothly and efficiently. You will troubleshoot and resolve issues across various operating systems, contributing to a seamless user experience. Your expertise in network operations will be crucial as you collaborate with the network engineer to maintain optimal network performance.
You will write scripts to automate IT and onboarding tasks, enhancing the efficiency of the IT department. By utilizing Terraform, you will manage infrastructure automation, ensuring that provisioning and system management processes are streamlined and effective. Your role will also involve administering and improving Okta for access management, provisioning, SSO, and MFA, contributing to a secure IT environment.
